Nik

Nik is a highly sensitive fulla who gives his person glimpses of his inquisitive and playful nature when he isn't in survival mode. Lucky he has a patient and open-hearted partner. His trust is fragile and evaporates quickly, yet he opened the session wanting to show who he really was and then explained how connecting with people feels for him.

His heightened awareness extends a long way from his physical body - he would be the first horse of the herd to put his head up as you approached and he would keep a continuous eye on you. He also feels the pressure change as you move through the 'Zones of Intimacy' to physical touch.

As you can imagine riding would be an intense experience and he wanted his person to know he needed to be comfortable in his own skin before he could enjoy her being onboard. He also shared that his ability to 'digest' experiences was related to his gut health. We generally think of digestion being about food, but Nik showed digestion is required for all external inputs, including the energy of relationships. His nervous system state had a big influence on his digestive absorption and detoxification.

Closeness is intense for him at the moment and he invited his person to 'interact like a 'painter'', meaning 'dab' a bit (take an action) and then step back and consider the impact - leaving him lots of 'soak' time and space.
